New CEO at AVK International

Karsten Skovgaard Nielsen succeeds Morten Sæderup Nielsen, who will focus on his roles at AVK Holding as Chief Commercial Officer of the AVK Group and Chairman of AVK Water Solutions. At the same time, Morten succeeds Niels Aage Kjær as Chairman of the Board of AVK International.

Karsten already has strong ties to AVK. He began his career with AVK in the development department (AVK Tech) in 2015, where he worked, among other things, as a Project Manager and Business Development Manager, contributing to the development of AVK's digital Smart Water solutions, before joining the sales organisation of AVK International in 2020. He subsequently spent three and a half years outside the AVK Group as Sales & Project Director at HN Group and later CEO of Bredal & Bogballe.
In June 2024, he returned to the AVK Group as General Manager of AVK Indonesia, where he has delivered strong results for nearly two and a half years.

Karsten is 36 years old and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, he has completed business economics studies through the HD programme, a board training programme at DTU and IMD's Organisational Leadership Programme in Switzerland. The combination of technical insight, leadership capabilities and many years of AVK experience provides him with a strong foundation for further developing AVK International.
