AVK's extensive range of butterfly valves
AVK offers one of the widest ranges of butterfly valves at the market that includes centric butterfly valves with fixed liner and loose liner as well as double eccentric and triple eccentric butterfly valves. We offer a wide variety of material configurations for each of these types as well as any type of actuation. This means that we most probably can supply the right valve for your application within water supply, wastewater treatment, fire protection, gas supply and industrial applications.
AVK has been in the valve business for more than 50 years. From the 90s we started offering butterfly valves from Wouter Witzel, a well-esteemed manufacturer of centric fixed liner butterfly valves founded in 1966 in the Netherlands and since 2005 a member of the AVK Group. The same year we introduced a brand new range of AVK double eccentric butterfly valves, and in 2010 InterApp Armaturen Holding AG became part of the AVK Group. InterApp was founded in 1969 and is a well reputed manufacturer of centric loose liner butterfly valves produced in Switzerland and Spain. In 2026, the triple eccentric butterfly valve production site of the renowned Italian manufacturer PetrolValves was acquired by AVK, which further strengthens our butterfly valve offering across a wide range of industrial applications.
Centric butterfly valve with fixed liner
Fixed liner butterfly valves can be used under vacuum conditions as there is no movement and wear of the liner. Furthermore, the fixed liner valve is suitable for high flow velocities and high operating cycles e.g. open/close every few seconds. Fixed liner butterfly valves are typically used above ground, but the double flanged types are also suitable for below ground installations. Available for water, wastewater, gas, fire protection and industry applications. Read more about centric butterfly valves with fixed liner.
Centric butterfly valve with loose liner
Loose liner butterfly valves are typically a cost-effective solution for applications above ground where replacement and maintenance is relatively easy. The liner is replaceable without a full replacement of the valve and the design gives more options for different liner materials. Available for water, wastewater and industry applications. Read more about centric butterfly valves with loose liner.
Double eccentric butterfly valve
Double eccentric butterfly valves are most often used in water supply applications below ground as an alternative to gate valves. When installing butterfly valves below ground a lower bury depth is required and typically they are more cost-effective, especially in the large dimensions, compared to gate valves. They can of course also be used above ground. Read more about double eccentric butterfly valves.
Triple eccentric butterfly valve
Triple eccentric butterfly valves are widely used in industrial applications under critical service conditions such as extreme temperatures and pressures as well as corrosive and abrasive fluids. They are highly suitable for e.g. oil and gas, energy, chemical processing, water treatment plants, desalination, district cooling & heating, marine, mining and steel industry, as well as for fire protection, dams and reservoirs and gas supply.
