VIDI Positioner with external antenna 2.0 is a battery-operated device that wirelessly transmits the position of gate valves.

VIDI Positioner with external antenna 2.0 is a Smart IoT device for indicating the open or closed position of gate valves, the external antenna gives more installation flexibility and connection stability, making it good for deeper installations. After easy configuration with a dedicated mobile app (AVK Assist) through NFC communication interface, the device periodically and on status changes transmits the position of the valve to the VIDI Cloud platform or to third-party software (e.g., SCADA and GIS) via standard API. VIDI Positioner with external antenna 2.0 can be configured and updated remotely (FOTA). Data from positioner with external antenna 2.0 provides water utilities with valuable insights into remotely monitoring the critical boundary valves of DMA zones. Based on the provided information, water utilities can optimize the operation of the water distribution network, extend the lifetime of assets and efficiently lower water loss.

* Battery life depends on installation, environmental conditions and user interactions. Installation in areas with poor communication signal, low temperatures, use of iron covers or frequent network reconnections can affect battery life.
