Penstock, wall-mounted, with rising stem, open frame, for neutral water and wastewater treatment. 10m on-off up to 1000x1000 and 6m on-off to 1200x1200.

This datasheet shows only a small selection of sizes in the bare shaft execution. Since all valves are manufactured to customer's specifications with reference to size, actuation, material combination, pressure, etc. we recommend to contact AVK before ordering.
Wall-mounted penstocks are square, round & rectangular or round base with resilient sealing on all four sides of the slide, bi-directional flow up to and including 1200 x 1200 mm. The open frame is designed for wall mounting or for embedding in concrete. Operation with rising stem. All penstocks in the comprehensive product range feature low leakage rate and reliable operation.

Features
- Frame design allows easy mounting at medium height or floor level for flush bottom installation
- Suitable for actuation with manual, electric, pneumatic or hydraulic actuators
- Frame, slide and stem of stainless steel AISI 304
- Leakage rate less than 1.24 liter/min/seal meter (AWWA C-561)
- Four-sided sealing. Seal and guides bolting completely separated from the frame anchoring. Seal design is self adjusting (wedge-less design) to reduce torque requirements and to achieve minimal seating and unseating leakage rates. Slide ribs are designed to avoid crevice corrosion
- All gate fasteners are stainless steel
- Self-adjusting EPDM lip seal installed on the frame
- Self-cleaning guides in UHMWPE reducing friction coefficient during operation resulting in easy operation and extended seal durability
- The penstocks are factory assembled and tested to eliminate the need for on site adjustment
