Underground fire hydrant with 6” threaded male outlet to EN 1074-6 for water to max. 70°C
AVK underground hydrants series 29 are based on the renowned gate valve design. The stopper disc is fully vulcanized with AVKs own drinking water approved EPDM rubber compound. It features an outstanding durability due to the ability of the rubber to regain its original shape, the double bounding vulcanization process and the sturdy disc design. The triple safety stem sealing system, the high strength stem and the thorough corrosion protection safeguard the unmatched reliability.

Features
- 6" threaded male coupling outlet, galvanized
- Stem nut designed as a fixed, integral part of the stopper disc which prevents vibration and ensures high durability
- Stopper disc fully encapsulated in drinking water approved EPDM rubber
- Stainless steel 1.4404/AISI 316 stem with disc stop and rolled threads for high strength
- Full circle thrust collar keeps the stem firmly lined up and ensures low operating torque
- A triple stem sealing consisting of an NBR wiper ring outermost to protect aginst contamination from outside, a polyamide radial bearing surrounded by four O-rings and innermost a drinking water approved EPDM lip seal is the main seal to the system pressure
- The bonnet gasket is fixed in a recess in the bonnet to avoid presssure surge blow-out
- Counterbored A4 stainless steel bonnet bolts encircled by the bonnet gasket and sealed with hot melt glue
- Stainless steel stand pipe
- Automatic drain system
- Operational spindle outside of riser pipe, ensuring free water flow passage
- Fusion bonded epoxy coating in compliance with DIN 3476 part 1 and EN 14901
